The State of Nevada is seeking to retain outside counsel on a contingent fee basis ("Special Contractor") to provide legal services to the State of Nevada through its Attorney General by and through the Office of the Nevada Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection, and Consumer Advocate (collectively as the "Bureau of Consumer Protection" or "Attorney General") to assist in the investigation and litigation involving the impacts, risks, and harms to the State of Nevada and its residents by social media platforms, and related claims or causes of action (collectively as the "SMP Litigation"). The term "Attorney General" as used herein, shall include his deputy designee and the Consumer Advocate. This Request for Proposal ("RFP") invites qualified attorneys and/or law firms engaged in the private practice of law to submit proposals as independent professional contractors acting as outside counsel for the SMP Litigation. Any contingent fee contract awarded to a Special Contractor must comply with NRS 228.111 through NRS 228.1118, NRS Chapter 333, NAC Chapter 333, the State Administrative Manual where applicable, and any other applicable laws and regulations.
